Fresh lemons are what make my summer go ’round!

No seriously, this time of year, anything using fresh lemon juice during spring and summer and I’m all in.

But when I can make a version of something at home my family is familiar with, I relish this opportunity all the more! Making it at home also saves me a ton of money with my three kids!

Frosted Lemonade Copycat Recipe

Sometimes called frosted and sometimes call frozen, either way this copycat version of a beloved chain restaurant version frozen lemonade made at home anytime is going to be the perfect treat for the whole family!!

The original Chick-Fil-A recipe uses vanilla ice cream and lemonade. So to make this like the real thing, we need to use low carb ice cream and remove sugar from the lemonade mixture.

No problem! I only use natural ingredients and never use artificial sweeteners. My main sweetener choice is lemon stevia as the better option here.

I like the Sweetleaf brand as I feel it does not have an aftertaste or artificial flavor. But any sugar alternative you like is fine to use.

It’s always best to start with a small amount of liquid stevia and add more if you need the sweetness.

You can also use Swerve sweetener if you don’t like or have stevia. I would say start with just 1/4 cup of the confectioners style. Plain stevia is fine as well if you don’t have lemon flavored stevia.

You can swap with any keto sweetener you prefer. Here’s my sweetener guide and conversion chart to help you decide how much to use.

Add some fresh lemon slices to this refreshing drink and a pretty straw and head outside for a relaxing time with family and friends.

Knowing it’s made without sugar, makes it taste all the more sweeter, especially when you are on a low carb diet or keto diet.

This delicious drink is best served outside on a swing!

Joy!

Pure Joy from this momma when I see my kids laughing while I snap a few pics and they enjoy this Luscious frozen sweet treat!

Servings: 6 servings @ 4 ounces

Author: Brenda Bennett| Sugar-Free Mom

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Add the ingredients into a high powdered blender and blend until desired consistency.
  • I suggest starting with 1/2 teaspoon of liquid stevia then taste and adjust to decide if it is sweet amount for you.
  • If you’d like more lemon flavor add 1/4 cup more lemon juice.

Notes

Net Carbs: 1.6g
My original recipe posted in 2016 did not include keto vanilla ice cream. It was only 5 calories using 3 cups ice, 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice with 1/4 cup water and stevia.
You can still enjoy this great beverage without the ice cream if you prefer though I’ve been told it wouldn’t be exactly like the Chick-Fil-A as they use vanilla ice cream to get that creamy texture.

  1. I wanted to try making this in advance and freezing the whole concoction. Would the 4 servings you obtain be 4 eight ounce servings for a total of 32 ounces? If so, I could use water only, then freeze I believe. TY for sharing!

    1. No the ice amount is reduced once its all blended so the 4 servings are only 4 ounce each serving.

  2. What nice photos – I love the one of your kids. I love this recipe for its simplicity and it’s yumminess. I love lemon, too, and nothing beats it’s refreshing flavor in the Summer. Thanks for a great recipe!

  3. You can buy diet lemonade at Chick-Fil-A, and I was told they sweeten it with Splenda. I wish they would use Stevia, so I will definitely try this recipe.
