It's my blog's 2nd birthday so it's time to celebrate with a give away!
Can you believe that my Sugar-Free Mom blog has been around for 2 years already?? Yes, exactly 2 years ago today on October 21, 2011 I launched my website! Blessed beyond measure by the growth and support we've received from all of you! To show my appreciation I'm giving away a favorite kitchen gadget that I love!!!
Who wants a new dehydrator??? Dehydrators are perfect for making healthy dried fruit snacks for the family. The hubby also likes to make jerky with it as well. Whatever you decide to dehydrate you will not be disappointed!
Here's mine in action making apple chips!!
We've dried pears and apples but you can really dry whatever you like. It comes with a great book to tell you all about how to use it.
My kids can't get enough of these so it's a good thing this dehydrator has about 6 or 7 shelves to hold a whole lot of apple slices!
Don't be alarmed that it says beef jerky on the box. My hubby bought two brand new and kept one in the box unused specifically for my blog's birthday to give away to one of you!
All you need to do to enter is comment below and tell me what you'd like to make in this dehydrator! Contest ends at Midnight on Friday October 25, 2013. I am shipping this myself and it can be quite expensive so I'm sorry but US residents only please. GOOD LUCK!!
NOW CLOSED!!
Congrats to #410 Amanda!!

Two days ago my brother called to see if I had a dehydrator. Sadly, I did not. They have shared the bounty from their garden and I would love to surprise them with a dehydrator! It would be used for fruits, veggies and jerky! They enjoy walking their dog and love to travel by RV. With the dehydrator they could store lots of food that they had dehydrated and be ready to travel at the drop of a hat!

Fruits and vegs mainly - an activity to keep my kids helping in the kitchen. They are more likely to try/eat when they have helped create. Also the dried fruit for decorating :0. Love you site and appreciate you sharing your journey with us!

Hello!
I would love to make strawberry, banana, and apple chips. My daughter has a very restricted diet due to food allergies and she recently tried freeze dried strawberry and banana chips. She loved them! We were so excited that we could add another item to the list of foods she can have, however the little packages I buy in the store don"t contain a lot so it starts to get pricey quick when she's eating 4 bags a day!! Thanks for all the great recipes you post and Congratulations on 2 years!!!!

there are many things to dehydrate.
with me being gluten free lactose free and nut free. it would be used with lots of fruits and vegetables.
my mom of one of these and we used to dehydrate everything as kids.
so yes this would definitely the used 100 percent not only by myself but also in my sisters and my daycare were we have 10 children under the age of 5

It is hard to choose just one thing I would want to make. So many possibilities. I think my first time I would try bananas and then apples. Then I would try almost everything - especially veggies and herbs. Congrats on 2 years!
