It's my blog's 2nd birthday so it's time to celebrate with a give away!
Can you believe that my Sugar-Free Mom blog has been around for 2 years already?? Yes, exactly 2 years ago today on October 21, 2011 I launched my website! Blessed beyond measure by the growth and support we've received from all of you! To show my appreciation I'm giving away a favorite kitchen gadget that I love!!!
Who wants a new dehydrator??? Dehydrators are perfect for making healthy dried fruit snacks for the family. The hubby also likes to make jerky with it as well. Whatever you decide to dehydrate you will not be disappointed!
Here's mine in action making apple chips!!
We've dried pears and apples but you can really dry whatever you like. It comes with a great book to tell you all about how to use it.
My kids can't get enough of these so it's a good thing this dehydrator has about 6 or 7 shelves to hold a whole lot of apple slices!
Don't be alarmed that it says beef jerky on the box. My hubby bought two brand new and kept one in the box unused specifically for my blog's birthday to give away to one of you!
All you need to do to enter is comment below and tell me what you'd like to make in this dehydrator! Contest ends at Midnight on Friday October 25, 2013. I am shipping this myself and it can be quite expensive so I'm sorry but US residents only please. GOOD LUCK!!
NOW CLOSED!!
Congrats to #410 Amanda!!

I just bought 40 pounds of apples, so I would love to make some healthy fruit leather for my kids without all the enhealthy stuff added. It is also hunting season in MT, so my son will insist I make him some deer jerky.
Anne
Strawberries, mangos, apples and of course homemade sugar free fruit leathers...all different flavors.

Gratz on your anniversary. I always enjoy your recipes

Goodness, I have wanted to make tons of fruit leather, apple rings, and banana chips for my kiddos so they (and myself) can have healthy snacks. You can make the rings in the oven, but it really isn't the same. I grew up on the dehydrated snacks and really do miss them! I would venture out into the unknown if I had a dehydrator by my side!
Laurie
Happy Birthday! I would dehydrate bananas the most! The perfect snack!

Good morning!
Love your FB and blog!! I would make apple and banana chips to start and then I would explore all the possibilities. My husband and I have always talked about buying one but have never had the opportunity, so winning this one would be amazing!
Have a fantastic day!

I want to make healthy snacks for my children. I buy the other packaged dried fruit, but this would really help me to know they are getting only the most natural. It's great for school snack and soccer practice. This would help me start my way to healthy homemade food!

I would like to use one for drying my herbs and then pulverizing. My son used his for hot peppers and make pepper powder to cook with. It was very exciting to see this in action when I visited him in Maryland. Here in subtropical Louisiana we are able to grow many tropical trees but the fruits ripen so quickly we cant eat them fast enough and sadly they rot on the trees. I had my first crop of bananas this year, and being diabetic I cant eat too many fruit high in carbohydrates. This would allow me to dry and preserve for later. What an awesome giveaway. Happy 2nd anniversary. I am new to your site and have found many recipes to help me control my blood sugars, Thank You.
Camille
I'd love to make jerky!

I would love to use the for beef jerky and dried fruit ! Buying it in the store gets pricey sometimes and I like everything homemade and not processed anyways this would be great! With my husband being deployed him and his buddies love getting stuff like that but again it gets pricey!
