2 Year Blog Birthday & a Dehydrator Give Away!

It’s my blog’s 2nd birthday so it’s time to celebrate with a give away!

2yrbday

Can you believe that my Sugar-Free Mom blog has been around for 2 years already?? Yes, exactly 2 years ago today on October 21, 2011 I launched my website! Blessed beyond measure by the growth and support we’ve received from all of you! To show my appreciation I’m giving away a favorite kitchen gadget that I love!!!

Who wants a new dehydrator??? Dehydrators are perfect for making healthy dried fruit snacks for the family. The hubby also likes to make jerky with it as well. Whatever you decide to dehydrate you will not be disappointed!

Here’s mine in action making apple chips!!

dehydrator1

We’ve dried pears and apples but you can really dry whatever you like. It comes with a great book to tell you all about how to use it.

My kids can’t get enough of these so it’s a good thing this dehydrator has about 6 or 7 shelves to hold a whole lot of apple slices!

Don’t be alarmed that it says beef jerky on the box. My hubby bought two brand new and kept one in the box unused specifically for my blog’s birthday to give away to one of you!

All you need to do to enter is comment below and tell me what you’d like to make in this dehydrator! Contest ends at Midnight on Friday October 25, 2013. I am shipping this myself and it can be quite expensive so I’m sorry but US residents only please. GOOD LUCK!!

NOW CLOSED!!
Congrats to #410 Amanda!!

  1. Aren’t you sweet to offer this! Happy 2nd birthday to a delicious blog!
I’d like to make hamburger beef jerky! Not to mention the healthy fruit roll ups for the kids

  2. I would love it! I’d start with apples and bananas. My college age daughter can get in her fruits without have to worry about
having a fruit bowl with fruit flies in her dorm room. Then I’d get busy making dog treats for my lab…sweet potato chips.
    Thanks!

  3. I want to make beef jerky and learn how to make dried apple and banana chips. I have fond memories of my aunt using hers.

  4. My daughter is diabetic..This would come be very handy for a variety of sugar free snacks for her! 🙂

  5. I would love to experiment with beef and bacon for jerky, fruit skins & different fruits and vegetables for chips.

  6. I’ll be making snacks for my new diet! I was nominated for a free year of personal training and was chosen! This could really help with healthy snacks made right at home!

  7. I am a Realtor and am on the road “alot” and my car is my office. I would dehydrate everything so that not having enough ice or a cooler with me wouldn’t prohibit me from sticking to my healthy, gluten free diet. My husband and I also love taking motorcycle trips and having limited storage on the bikes, this would be helpful bringing along diabetic healthy items for him. So far we are controlling his diabetes with diet but it is a challenge while travelling. We both love jerky but store bought has too many chemicals for us…homemade would be heavenly! I experiment daily with gluten free, diabetic friendly recipes and would love to share what i do with a dehydrator…

  8. I would love to make dehydrated fruit and anything else it will work on! I look forward to researching all new kinds of ways to use it to make yummy, healthy food for my kids with food allergies.

  9. I’ve always wanted a dehydrator. My 6 yr old is hooked on banana and mango chips. That would be the very first thing she would insist on. Radishes next.
