2 Year Blog Birthday & a Dehydrator Give Away!

It’s my blog’s 2nd birthday so it’s time to celebrate with a give away!

2yrbday

Can you believe that my Sugar-Free Mom blog has been around for 2 years already?? Yes, exactly 2 years ago today on October 21, 2011 I launched my website! Blessed beyond measure by the growth and support we’ve received from all of you! To show my appreciation I’m giving away a favorite kitchen gadget that I love!!!

Who wants a new dehydrator??? Dehydrators are perfect for making healthy dried fruit snacks for the family. The hubby also likes to make jerky with it as well. Whatever you decide to dehydrate you will not be disappointed!

Here’s mine in action making apple chips!!

dehydrator1

We’ve dried pears and apples but you can really dry whatever you like. It comes with a great book to tell you all about how to use it.

My kids can’t get enough of these so it’s a good thing this dehydrator has about 6 or 7 shelves to hold a whole lot of apple slices!

Don’t be alarmed that it says beef jerky on the box. My hubby bought two brand new and kept one in the box unused specifically for my blog’s birthday to give away to one of you!

  10. What wouldn’t I put in it!
From jerky to peppers to apples and anything else my garden may yield, a new dehydrator is just what I need!

  11. Oh wow, this would be such a blessing for our family to win this as we are all trying really hard to be healthy……kids and parents alike. We would really love to try making Dried Kale Chips, Dried Pineapple, Dried Apricots and the Dried Apple slices like your showing. I have some health problems so I’m sure this would be a great thing to own and we certainly would get a lot of use out of it for sure! 🙂

  12. I would make fruit roll up leather type snacks with my son’s Tiger Cub Scouts- without all of the sugar like the ones at the store have.

  13. Would live to win this!! My Dad makes the best beef jerky in their dehydrator and would live to try making it too. Plus, really would like to make healthy snacks for my son as I try to keep him away from sugar as much as possible.

  14. I would loooovveeee to make apples, bananas in my dehydrator. My kids love these fruits the most dried. I would also to veggies, especially carrots and kale. Mmmmmm, I’m tasting them now. I would also add some nuts. These would be perfect to make as a fundraiser for my daughter student ambassoder trip to Alaska in 2014. It’s so expensive, and making these would be perfect and healthy. I have always wanted a dehydrator. Thanks for the opportunity to win one!!!!

  15. I was just talking about this with my husband the other day. I would love to try apples, bananas, peaches, asian pear apples. He said he would love to try some meats. So excited for this. 🙂 thanks.

  16. I would use this mostly for dehydrating fruits and vegetables for my kids. They love dried fruit as snacks. I get an organic fruit and vegetable delivery every week and sometimes I just cant use everything. This would help decrease waste and make convenient snacks. My husband is away a lot with his job so tools like this that would help make our life easier and less costly would be a real bonus.

  17. Happy birthday on your blog! I follow a low carb diet and love jerky! I so would love to make my own healthy preservative free yumminess!
