2 Year Blog Birthday & a Dehydrator Give Away!

It’s my blog’s 2nd birthday so it’s time to celebrate with a give away!

2yrbday

Can you believe that my Sugar-Free Mom blog has been around for 2 years already?? Yes, exactly 2 years ago today on October 21, 2011 I launched my website! Blessed beyond measure by the growth and support we’ve received from all of you! To show my appreciation I’m giving away a favorite kitchen gadget that I love!!!

Who wants a new dehydrator??? Dehydrators are perfect for making healthy dried fruit snacks for the family. The hubby also likes to make jerky with it as well. Whatever you decide to dehydrate you will not be disappointed!

Here’s mine in action making apple chips!!

dehydrator1

We’ve dried pears and apples but you can really dry whatever you like. It comes with a great book to tell you all about how to use it.

My kids can’t get enough of these so it’s a good thing this dehydrator has about 6 or 7 shelves to hold a whole lot of apple slices!

Don’t be alarmed that it says beef jerky on the box. My hubby bought two brand new and kept one in the box unused specifically for my blog’s birthday to give away to one of you!

Congrats to #410 Amanda!!

  1. I have started to dry fruit in the oven so that I can make healthy trail mix and granola. So far I have done cranberries, since they are in season, and next up is frozen blueberries. I would love to dehydrate cherries in the dehydrator!

  2. I would love to make apple and kale chips, and since my husband hunts venison jerky would be great too!

  3. I have been on the hunt for one of these but just can’t justify the price right now. I would love to try making dried fruit as snacks for my kiddos.

  7. I have been pre-diabetic since I was seven. At almost 33, I had gastric bypass in June of this year. In less than 4 months, I am off of insulin and six other pills each day for diabetes. I want and need to continue living my sugar free lifestyle and would love to use a dehydrator for fruits, particularly the FRESH Virginia apples that I just picked today! I’d also enjoy beef and chicken jerky treats as snacks. Mmmmmm. Thanks Sugar Free Mom!

  13. Congratulations on year 2! Keep up the great work 🙂 Personally i am on a tight budget (like many). Love it that you do these give aways and of course i would love to enter 😉 We love healthy food and just learned about dehydrated food. We specially love the Kale with garlic and bellpepper version but it cost 8 dollars in the store for 2 servings! I would love to have a dehydrator so that i can make my own for much cheaper. Oh, my 3 year old daughter loves the banana version too and ofcourse i would love to experiment too 🙂
