It's my blog's 2nd birthday so it's time to celebrate with a give away!
Can you believe that my Sugar-Free Mom blog has been around for 2 years already?? Yes, exactly 2 years ago today on October 21, 2011 I launched my website! Blessed beyond measure by the growth and support we've received from all of you! To show my appreciation I'm giving away a favorite kitchen gadget that I love!!!
Who wants a new dehydrator??? Dehydrators are perfect for making healthy dried fruit snacks for the family. The hubby also likes to make jerky with it as well. Whatever you decide to dehydrate you will not be disappointed!
Here's mine in action making apple chips!!
We've dried pears and apples but you can really dry whatever you like. It comes with a great book to tell you all about how to use it.
My kids can't get enough of these so it's a good thing this dehydrator has about 6 or 7 shelves to hold a whole lot of apple slices!
Don't be alarmed that it says beef jerky on the box. My hubby bought two brand new and kept one in the box unused specifically for my blog's birthday to give away to one of you!
All you need to do to enter is comment below and tell me what you'd like to make in this dehydrator! Contest ends at Midnight on Friday October 25, 2013. I am shipping this myself and it can be quite expensive so I'm sorry but US residents only please. GOOD LUCK!!
NOW CLOSED!!
Congrats to #410 Amanda!!

Definitely blueberries! Also, thank you so much for this blog! I am a Type 1 diabetic for 40+ years and these recipes have helped so much! I generally want to eat healthy and not just like a diabetic.

I would love to make my own fruit leather!! Its a great snack for on the go, and I can make a sugar free one. I would also like to make my own dried herb mixes in a dehydrator 🙂 AND Raisins for my oatmeal!!

I have apricots, persimmons, loquats, tomatoes and bell peppers that I grow here on my property. Also neighbors bring by fruit all the time. I buy apples by the bag, strawberries by the case and I would do all these in the Dehydrator which I have been wanting forever. Also, I am in strawberry capital here in So cal, so the list is endless on things to do. Oh, and prunes, pineapple and wow, I just cannot stop thinking of all that I could do. ( Kale Chips and Turkey Jerky too!) Would making cooking so much more fun too. 🙂
Thanks so much for this opportunity!

Congratulations on your 2 year blog birthday! Thank you for all the wonderful recipes. I would make dried watermelon. My mother-in-law made it once and it's like eating candy! Really! I would also dry apples and pears and make kale chips. My husband would definitely make beef jerky.

I would love to make my own banana chips. The packaged ones at the store are full of saturated fat. 🙂

I don't know where I'd start! I've been eyeballing one of these, but since I just bought a Vitamix, I figured I'd better wait before trying to convince the Hub that we "need" a dehydrator. My daughter and I, though, have looked at and Pinned so many recipes that end up wanting a dehydrator or endless hours with the oven on...I'd rather use the dehydrator.
What would we make? Apples, bananas, kiwi, pears, beet, potato, and other veggie chips, homemade fruit snacks and fruit rolls...and that's just what we'd try for starters. ..

I would make dried fruit first, then experiment with other foods.

I'd like to get my kids involved and have them help me make healthy snacks I the dehydrator. After all, it's important to feed them well and teach them how to feed themselves well.
Diane
Happy Blog Birthday!! I have 2 Boy Scouts that would love to join me in making beef & turkey jerky as well as dried fruit to share with all the Scouts on their Camp-outs.

I'd dehydrate various fruits and veggies, especially bananas and tomatoes. But also, I'd dehydrate sliced sweet potatoes for my dogs. They make great treats with absolutely no additives, just sweet potato, and are good for keeping their teeth clean.
Kaela
I would love to make banana chips!

We had a dehydrator long ago, but I wasn't all that interested in it...would love to have one now though! I would dry all kinds of fruit, as I really don't care for fresh fruit, but love the dried. Thanks for a great giveaway, and Happy 2nd Anniversary!
Cindy
I would love to dehydrate herbs and fruit. The apples look fantastic!
