2 Year Blog Birthday & a Dehydrator Give Away!

It’s my blog’s 2nd birthday so it’s time to celebrate with a give away!

2yrbday

Can you believe that my Sugar-Free Mom blog has been around for 2 years already?? Yes, exactly 2 years ago today on October 21, 2011 I launched my website! Blessed beyond measure by the growth and support we’ve received from all of you! To show my appreciation I’m giving away a favorite kitchen gadget that I love!!!

Who wants a new dehydrator??? Dehydrators are perfect for making healthy dried fruit snacks for the family. The hubby also likes to make jerky with it as well. Whatever you decide to dehydrate you will not be disappointed!

Here’s mine in action making apple chips!!

We’ve dried pears and apples but you can really dry whatever you like. It comes with a great book to tell you all about how to use it.

My kids can’t get enough of these so it’s a good thing this dehydrator has about 6 or 7 shelves to hold a whole lot of apple slices!

Don’t be alarmed that it says beef jerky on the box. My hubby bought two brand new and kept one in the box unused specifically for my blog’s birthday to give away to one of you!

  4. I love dehydrated pineapple, bananas, and apples but won’t buy them because they are either fried or coated in chemical preservatives! I would buy a huge, juicy, sweet pineapple! Yummy, and then slice it thin and dehydrate it, perfect for snacks for the kids and me! I would also like to try dehydrating peaches or even some of the gardens many veggies!

  6. I would use it to make as many healthy snacks as I can!! Apples, bananas, pear, mango, kiwi ,peaches!! It is hard to find HEALTHY snacks now that I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. And dries fruit in the stores is expensive and filled with SUGAR.

  7. I was recently diagnosed with CLL and a raw diet was recommended. I have seen so many recipes using dehydated foods for the raw diet. Some recipes are raw vegan burgers, crackers, crepes….

  8. Congratulations on two years! The dehydrator is a generous gift and our family of 7 would put it to good use! We are fruit and vegetable eaters, but this is challenging with my autistic son who only eats crunchy items. What a blessing it would be to make fruits and veggies crunchy without losing their nutrients! I hope we win! Thanks again for the opportunity.
