It's my blog's 2nd birthday so it's time to celebrate with a give away!
Can you believe that my Sugar-Free Mom blog has been around for 2 years already?? Yes, exactly 2 years ago today on October 21, 2011 I launched my website! Blessed beyond measure by the growth and support we've received from all of you! To show my appreciation I'm giving away a favorite kitchen gadget that I love!!!
Who wants a new dehydrator??? Dehydrators are perfect for making healthy dried fruit snacks for the family. The hubby also likes to make jerky with it as well. Whatever you decide to dehydrate you will not be disappointed!
Here's mine in action making apple chips!!
We've dried pears and apples but you can really dry whatever you like. It comes with a great book to tell you all about how to use it.
My kids can't get enough of these so it's a good thing this dehydrator has about 6 or 7 shelves to hold a whole lot of apple slices!
Don't be alarmed that it says beef jerky on the box. My hubby bought two brand new and kept one in the box unused specifically for my blog's birthday to give away to one of you!
All you need to do to enter is comment below and tell me what you'd like to make in this dehydrator! Contest ends at Midnight on Friday October 25, 2013. I am shipping this myself and it can be quite expensive so I'm sorry but US residents only please. GOOD LUCK!!
NOW CLOSED!!
Congrats to #410 Amanda!!

The apples look good. If like to try a variety of different fruits and see how they taste when crunchy.

I would love to start making banana chips, apple chips, pineapple, mango, strawberries, pumpkin seeds and jerky. Right now I buy them and I know I can get fresh fruits allot cheaper at times and this will taste much better! All of these are great snacks to keep handy esp while traveling when it's the easiest to grab a bag of chemicals to fill the void till the next meal. Fingers are xxx that I win 🙂

I would make fruit leather and apple chips-the expensive items I love to snack on but can only afford as an occasional treat! Plus, I saw a recipe for dehydrated pumpkin or apple pie "chips" that sound amazing!
Tracy Berden
It would be amazing to be able to make apples an other dried fruits!!!!! Super easy to pack in the morning for the kids!

I would love to make kale chips! I've tried them in the oven but they never come out right! 🙁 Banana chips would be yummy, too!

I will be using the dehydrator to make jerky from deer to hog to beef. Plus I will use it to make dried fruit for my furbabies. Would love to have this awesome machine 🙂

I would like to try a variety of fruit. I already make apple chips in the oven, but would prefer the dehydrator. I would also love to make mango slices since they are really hard to find without added sugar. We also like making our own fruit leather and I would love to do it in the dehydrator rather than the oven. I'm really glad I found your blog. Congratulations on 2 years!

I would probably make dried fruit and chips most often. We just started getting into preserving this fall. The possibilities are endless.

I live alone so I've thought about doing this to my extra's so I can use later in dishes....

I would love to dry fruits and veggies!! I would be able to take advantage of the deals on fresh by getting more, and drying it to save and use for later!
Gretchen Schlier
I would make all kinds of dried fruit, mostly apples. Lately, I've been seeing so many interesting recipes that call for a dehydrator. I'm sure my meat eaters would love to make jerky...Not a fan.

Hi!! I would love to have this dehydrator because I'd use it {not only for fruit but} to make parsnip, beet root and sweet potato chips. One of my guilty pleasures is chips so if I could make healthy ones, I would no longer want the bad ones. My children have recently come on board the clean eating wagon with me. They are loving my recipes and this would be one more thing to help teach my kids that you can still have delicious things without them being bad for you!! Please consider my plea.....I BEG OF YOU! LOL! thank you for teaching us so much and giving of yourself to us all.
Kris
My family loves dried fruit, so that would be a given! Maybe also zucchini chips, potatoes and sweet potatoes? 🙂
Kirsten
I'd like to try drying veggies to make different dry mixes for soups, dips etc. for gifts and holidays.

congrats on a fab two years!!! And how awesome are you for giving away dehydrator!!!?! My husband and I have been on the path to get healthy for over 2 1/2 years. Got my blend Tec, omega juicer, nice knife set for cutting veggies easily... this is the last thing we need! We love hiking with our three little ones and this is perfect to make dried apples, fruit leathers, mangoes ( our favorite) and we really want it to make jerky! Thanks for the opportunity!
