2 Year Blog Birthday & a Dehydrator Give Away!

It’s my blog’s 2nd birthday so it’s time to celebrate with a give away!

2yrbday

Can you believe that my Sugar-Free Mom blog has been around for 2 years already?? Yes, exactly 2 years ago today on October 21, 2011 I launched my website! Blessed beyond measure by the growth and support we’ve received from all of you! To show my appreciation I’m giving away a favorite kitchen gadget that I love!!!

Who wants a new dehydrator??? Dehydrators are perfect for making healthy dried fruit snacks for the family. The hubby also likes to make jerky with it as well. Whatever you decide to dehydrate you will not be disappointed!

Here’s mine in action making apple chips!!

dehydrator1

We’ve dried pears and apples but you can really dry whatever you like. It comes with a great book to tell you all about how to use it.

My kids can’t get enough of these so it’s a good thing this dehydrator has about 6 or 7 shelves to hold a whole lot of apple slices!

Don’t be alarmed that it says beef jerky on the box. My hubby bought two brand new and kept one in the box unused specifically for my blog’s birthday to give away to one of you!

All you need to do to enter is comment below and tell me what you’d like to make in this dehydrator! Contest ends at Midnight on Friday October 25, 2013. I am shipping this myself and it can be quite expensive so I’m sorry but US residents only please. GOOD LUCK!!

NOW CLOSED!!
Congrats to #410 Amanda!!

  1. Congrats on your TWO year birthday! You make all of your recipes look so good! I would make all the items mentioned before. I have made myself crazy looking at all the food labels and seeing all of that nasty stuff that is added. I love making my own snacks!

  2. I have four boys who have always love. the apple chips that you buy, but they are very expensive to purchase. This would be a great way to try some “homemade” apple chips. As my birthday is this week, this would be a lovely present for our whole family!
Thanks so much for your recipes and tips!

  3. I would use it for fruit, vegis and nuts. It would be great for our kids and the family. Then I would probably buy a book and learn what else I could do with it.

  4. Along with the typical items, I saw a recipe for low carb flat bread (tortilla like) to make wraps! PS – I would be happy to pay for the shipping should I be the lucky one! Great blog! Thank you for taking time to share your insight!

  6. I would like to dehydrate extremely thin cut chicken breast(dipped in green salsa) and jalapeño slices and mushrooms. Followed by desert of fresh pineapple slices (usually slices cut into quarters), and banana. My good old dehydrator has gone to dehydrator heaven. I would love to have a new one!

  7. Apple or banana chips! I’d also like to make some fruit leather. When I was little one of my favorite snacks was a fruit roll up, however, I’m CERTAIN that the store bought are not the best for me 🙂
