2 Year Blog Birthday & a Dehydrator Give Away!

It’s my blog’s 2nd birthday so it’s time to celebrate with a give away!

2yrbday

Can you believe that my Sugar-Free Mom blog has been around for 2 years already?? Yes, exactly 2 years ago today on October 21, 2011 I launched my website! Blessed beyond measure by the growth and support we’ve received from all of you! To show my appreciation I’m giving away a favorite kitchen gadget that I love!!!

Who wants a new dehydrator??? Dehydrators are perfect for making healthy dried fruit snacks for the family. The hubby also likes to make jerky with it as well. Whatever you decide to dehydrate you will not be disappointed!

Here’s mine in action making apple chips!!

dehydrator1

We’ve dried pears and apples but you can really dry whatever you like. It comes with a great book to tell you all about how to use it.

My kids can’t get enough of these so it’s a good thing this dehydrator has about 6 or 7 shelves to hold a whole lot of apple slices!

Don’t be alarmed that it says beef jerky on the box. My hubby bought two brand new and kept one in the box unused specifically for my blog’s birthday to give away to one of you!

  1. I want to try kale chips! I make them in the oven but I feel like they are greasy many times! The dried fruit is appealing to me. I’m the one in the house with a sugar problem! Trying hard to kick it!

  3. I have been longing for a dehydrator for ages now in order to dry fruits, veggies, herbs, soaked nuts and meat strips. We don’t have a large house and things really heat up after a few hours of using the oven, even at low temperatures.
Thanks for the opportunity to enter!

  4. I am a single mom of a 19 yr old with special needs and pre-diabetic. I would love to get a dehydrator to make healthy SF snacks for him. I would not be able to afford one otherwise. Happy Birthday to you SF Mom.

  5. As much beef jerky that my son eats – this would make it less expensive and I would also know all the ingredients since I made it. Congratulations on two years.

  6. I would make apple chips and pretty much try to dehydrate any fruits/veggies that are starting to “age” in my fridge, to reduce waste!

  7. Im trying to get my son to eat better. An he likes dried fruit better then regular. But its so expensive. I would use it all the time.

  8. I need to lose at least 115 pounds. I think a food dehydrator would be a step in the right direction. Practicing good snacks such as apple chips, banana chips, dried strawberries for cereal and oatmeal fruit roll ups for the kids, the list goes on and on! Always having some on hand would be convenient and such a blessing!

  9. Hi, my kids love apples and bananas so this would be perfect. I introduced clean eating to the family about a week ago and love it! This dehydrated would bring me and the boys (3) one step closer to successful clean eating.
Congrats on hitting the 2-year mark with your blog!
