We love cheese and bacon, turkey bacon that is! You will  find many recipes here that include those two ingredients. Getting the kids to eat broccoli is somewhat of a challenge, but including it with their favorite already stated  ingredients, well, they are more apt to eat it.

Spinach is another story, for whatever reason my kids LOVE it. I will often make this quiche with spinach, but I just happened to run out the other day and tried it with the broccoli. They ate it without complaining so it was a win-win in my book!

Do you have kiddies that don’t like broccoli? This recipe for quiche is a super easy way to entice them into eating it.

I start off with the whole foods market whole wheat crust recipe. You can use whatever crust you like, but the nutrition info is for this crust recipe.

Have this for breakfast, lunch or dinner! This is easy to make ahead and it freezes fantastic! After it cools wrap it in aluminum foil. Thaw overnight and reheat at 350 degrees covered with aluminum so the crust doesn’t burn, about 30-45 minutes until its warmed through.

  1. This quiche came out perfectly following the recipe as is. It’s such a simple recipe. I’m making a second one vegetarian so no turkey bacon but I’m sure it will still taste great.

  2. I made this recipe for brunch this morning. I gotta say it is fantastic! My 5 year old had 3 pieces! Not a drop was left. This is going in our recipe box! Thanks!

  3. Keep the great recipes coming. My husband saw the picture and wants me to make it. Is there a secret to keeping the edges of the whole wheat crust from over cooking? That’s my only issue with using whole wheat flour crusts. I have put foil around the edges in the past but it didn’t work.

    1. Thank you Gladys! If you follow the time suggested I don’t think you will have any trouble. Mine didn’t get burnt at all and I never put aluminum around the edges either. Hope you and hubby enjoy it!

  4. I thought a web site called “sugar-free mom” would post sugar-free recipes. Bacon has to be the WORST thing you can eat.

    1. I have a rule of thumb that if sugar is listed as the fourth or fifth ingredient it works for me in my food plan/goals. I use turkey bacon often but mistakeningly forgot to mention it in this post and will correct it now, thanks!

    2. It did say to use Turkey Bacon which is a lot better. That is the only kind we eat.
