This Cheesy Garlic Texas Toast is gluten free, grain free, low carb Cloud Bread!!
There's just something about that Texas Toast!
What exactly is it about Texas Toast that makes you drool?
For me it's the cheese and seasonings. I've actually never tried store bought Texas Toast but my hubby has and the smell alone can make you drool!
For those not on a low carb diet, you might not get why this Texas Toast is so alluring. But for those who totally understand the grieving of the loss of bread when you started eating sugar free and low carb, you guys know exactly what I'm talking about.
Recently I adapted the traditional Cloud Bread into a Loaf and from it I've made a fantastic Grilled Cheese and a fabulous French Toast.
So I decided these thick slices of my Cloud Bread Loaf would be perfect to surprise my family with a Homemade Healthier Texas Toast.
The key to making this Cloud Bread resemble Texas Toast is in how thick you cut the loaf slices. The thicker the better in my opinion!
The second distinction is the flavor of course! You've got to have the garlic and herbs or it just won't work for you.
And third, there has GOT to me a good amount of cheese.
Any gooey cheese you love will do.
I chose a combo of 3 cheeses and it was enough to send my family into "oohs and aaahs" when the first bite was eaten!
One piece does not seem to be enough in my family, but it's a good thing they ONLY had one piece each because it would certainly be too easy to overindulge on this masterpiece!
I'd like to thank Gourmet Garden for making my life a whole lot easier using their incredible stir-in-pastes for the chunky garlic and parsley mix I made to spread over these slices!
Simple ingredients and a whole lot of happiness from the family and an even happier mom knowing my kids are eating low carb and loving it!

Hi. I recently made the cloud bread and I think it came out "almost" perfect. It looked just like your pictures except that when mine "lost it's air" it was only about 1-1/2" tall. It was kind of hard to make a grilled cheese, but it sure tasted good. It was my first grilled cheese in over a year. Do you know what I could do to prevent the bread from settling as much as it did? btw, thank you so much for all of your recipes. I couldn't do this without you and several other bloggers. You all are lifesavers!

Brenda I am currently on a weight loss journey that is going to include gastric sleeve surgery, as part of the program to prepare the Dr has me on a 45 carb a day limit so I was totally excited to see this cloud bread recipe! I just made my first loaf, and went to get it out of the over and it had overflown the bread pan (by a LOT) so it kind of looked like a blob had taken over the bread pan LOL. The bread is AWESOME and I thank you so much (I had rather given up hope on bread any time soon and like yourself had tried the other recipe and found I didnt care for it). Looking forward to cheesy bread, french toast and grilled cheese! Thank you again.
Brenda
SO happy you liked it!

I do not have the kinds of paste, would I be able to sub in garlic powder and parsley flakes? I know it would probably not be as strong or good.
Brenda
Right, you could use 1 tsp dried garlic powder and parsley, different overall flavor as well.
AZ@...And a Dash of Cinnamon
