Sugar Free Candied Pecans
The holiday season is fast approaching but all I'm thinking is more easy, delicious recipes that help you stick to your keto diet or low carb diet and that require just minutes to make.
This quick snack is the perfect mix when you just need a little something to curb the sweet tooth or just need a great low carb snack on the go!
All food creators on tiktok- make everything simple, with as few ingredients as possible and the cooking process is always quick using an air fryer or microwave or no baking is needed.
I've been doing more and more easy recipes and that's how this sweet and salty snack came to be.
This easy snack is an adaption of my slow cooker sweet candied pecan nuts recipe that makes a large batch on a prepared baking sheet for holiday parties as a sweet treat party snack.
It's also a great snack to add to a small mason jar with a decorative bow and give as amazing gifts to family and friends who are watching their sugar intake.
Carbs in Regular Candied Pecans
According the the app Cronometer, ¼ cup of Trader Joe's candied pecans has a total of 7 grams of carbs and 2 grams of dietary fiber so that is 5 grams of net carbs.
Though the net carbs might be low, the total carbs are high and this includes high amount of sugar.
Our Keto Friendly Candied Pecans
Since we are using a keto brown sweetener instead of regular sugar, we have less total carbs with just 5 grams and just 2 grams of net carbs per serving.
All nutritional information is in the recipe card at the bottom of this page.
Health Benefits of Pecans
Pecans contain high amounts of magnesium, calcium, Vitamin A, Vitamin E and zinc which all help your immune system function well and fight off infection. They also contain monounsaturated and polyunsaturated healthy fats which help you stay fuller for longer.

I prefer to mix my chopped pecan halves with a monk fruit sweetener that includes allulose and also combine with a liquid keto sweetener like allulose maple syrup.
This combining of different sweeteners is a great way to combat any after tastes of each one used. Any sugar substitutes you like can work in this keto friendly snack.
Can I Swap the Fresh Pecans?
If you don't like pecans, you can swap with any nuts of choice you like. But use fresh, unsalted and un-roasted nuts. Walnut halves would be delicious!
Can You Freeze these Candied Keto Pecans?
Yes, you can air fry or bake a larger double batch and freeze in an airtight container or freezer-safe container for up to 6 months.

Ooooh yum! Quick. That's how I like it 😀
Is maple syrup necessary for texture or sweetness etc? Or just flavor? Can I just use extract for flavor and just omit syrup completely? Thanks.
Brenda Bennett
You need the sugar free maple syrup or another liquid sweetener to create a nice sticky and crunchy texture.
