HOW TO MAKE EASY SUGAR FREE FUDGE

You need just 5 main ingredients to make this delicious sugar free fudge.

Ingredients

Sugar Free Chocolate Chips

Unsalted Butter

Allulose in Liquid is best or in powdered

Heavy cream

Pure Vanilla extract

Optional: vanilla liquid stevia and chopped walnuts

Directions

Add the chocolate chips and butter to a double boiler or you can use a bowl over a small pot of boiling water and cook over low heat until melted.

Stir in confectioners, cream, vanilla extract and salt until smooth. Remove from heat.

Taste and decide if you need more sweetness. Stir in optional walnuts if using.

Spread batter into a parchment lined loaf pan.

Refrigerate 30 minutes. This fudge does not need to stay refrigerated. In fact, it’s softer if you leave it out on the counter in an airtight container.

SUGAR FREE DARK CHOCOLATE VS MILK CHOCOLATE CHIPS

Lily’s sugar free chocolate chips is my favorite brand for sugar free chocolate. It tastes great and melts just like traditional chocolate chips with sugar.

The sweetener used is stevia and erythritol so there really isn’t an aftertaste. Other sugar free chocolate chips using artificial sweeteners can really cause a lot of digestive issues in the gut.

I’ve made this sugar free fudge using both Lily’s milk chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips and there is definitely a difference in texture.

The milk chocolate chips will provide a softer, smooth texture while the dark chocolate chips will provide a deep rich chocolate flavor but will not be as soft in texture, more dense.

Either will work in this recipe it is really your preference.

This is my favorite sugar free chocolate fudge recipe ever! I keep some in the fridge or freezer at all times. When I want something sweet and delicious I grab a piece or two. The hard part is stopping haha! Itโ€™s that good! Even my son and my hubby who arenโ€™t dieting love this fudge! Thank you Brenda! This is a keeper recipe! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ‘

  2. I made this fudge for the first time – 2 batches back to back, one milk chocolate and one dark chocolate. For those saying it didn’t set up, maybe this will help. The first batch I made, milk chocolate, I misread the instructions and removed the double boiler from the heat BEFORE I added the liquid allulose, cream, vanilla, and salt. That batch did not set up. However, after realizing it wasn’t going to set up, I scraped the fudge out and back into the double boiler and cooked for another 3 or 4 minutes, stirring constantly. It set up this time. The second batch, dark chocolate, I had realized my error and made sure to leave the double boiler over the simmering water while I added the cream, liquid allulose, vanilla, and salt. I stirred it constantly for probably 4 minutes or so after these additions. This batch set up nicely and fairly quickly. So, the apparent key to the success of this recipe is the heat after adding the remaining ingredients. As Brenda mentions, there is a definite texture difference between milk and dark chocolate. I found the dark to be more difficult to cut cleanly, more “crumbly”. Both were delicious though with no sweetener aftertaste.

  3. I followed everything to a T, but mine did not get thick or hard like fudge should taste good though

I just finished making 2 recipes. I made the skillet chocolate chip cookie firs and the chocolate fudge with the walnuts. Mint trouble was when I was trying to pour the fudge into the loaf pan the bowl slipped and I got a bit of water in with the fudge which I drained out. ๐Ÿคž the little mishap wonโ€™t ruin it.. thank you Brenda โค๏ธ

    1. I don’t have a double boiler either. I use a small saucepan filled with water and place a glass bowl to fit over the top of the pan. Simmer the water and add the chocolate in the glass pan to melt.

  5. I followed the recipe exactly. Meter the butter and chocolate together in
Need very low heat yet the chocolate seized up on me. ๐Ÿ˜”Is there any way to save the fudge?

  6. Is there a reason to use coconut milk instead of coconut cream which would be thicker like the heavy cream?

    1. If you shake the canned coconut milk before using, yes that would be a good option. But I’ve made this with just a carton of fresh coconut milk and that works as well. Either is fine.

  7. What can I use instead of the chocolate chips? I canโ€™t find sugar free ones around here. I love your recipes thanks for sharing them with us.

    1. Dark chocolate chips will work as well, just try to find some with a high amount of cocoa so it should have less added sugar and lower carbs.

    2. Walmart carries Lilly’s sugar-free chocolate chips. They can also be ordered online. Hope that is helpful.
