How to Make Keto Smoothies
Making smoothies isn't a new thing of course, but making them keto friendly and low carb is definitely new to many.
Berries are a wonderful source of vitamins, minerals and a great source of antioxidants.
They are low on the glycemic index and perfectly acceptable on a low carb and keto diet. Some choose not to enjoy any fruit at all on a keto diet, but I believe you can have some flexibility even when eating just 20 total carbs a day.
While this low carb smoothie recipe can be enjoyed for a quick breakfast or any meal of the day, I'd add some collagen or or a scoop of protein powder or whey protein for the added protein benefit.
This is an easy berry smoothie recipe, and if you don't enjoy fresh berries on a daily basis, it may even taste like a luscious dessert to you!

You don't need to use frozen berries but it does help if they are frozen so you won't really need to add any ice which can water down the smoothie. If using fresh berries be sure to have them cold and add ice to you glass to enjoy smoothie.
Can I use blueberries?
You certainly could swap out any of the fresh berries I chose for this fruity smoothie. All berries are low in grams of net carbs so watch portions.
Can I use macadamia nut milk?
It's a pretty creamy smoothie using the coconut milk but you can certainly swap out the coconut milk for any dairy milk or non-dairy milk of choice. Just be mindful that using a milk that has less fat, could change the texture and may not a thick smoothie.

I am allergic to Almonds along with all other varieties of peanuts and tree nuts. Would flax milk be a good substitute for the almond milk?
Brenda
I've never used flax milk but if it's the same consistency as almond or coconut milk then yes.
Madison
Brenda are the other berries fresh or frozen or does it it not matter?
Reader
That looks delicious! I wonder if adding some sugar free syrups like chocolate or caramel could make the flavour explode even more?
Definitely bookmarking this one!
P.S., you typo'd "xanthin" in the instructions ^^
Brenda
Chocolate is always a good idea!

There is no way your carb count is right. .75 or 2/3 cup of raspberries are 10g of carbs all on its own. Add in the 2 other berries and you're hitting at least 20.
