Ninja Creami Low Carb Keto Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream

This easy pumpkin pie spice keto ice cream has just 5 simple ingredients for a delicious dessert for the fall season!

Sugar Free Pumpkin Ice Cream

Pumpkin season has arrived though it’s just early fall, but regardless the time of year, this delicious pumpkin ice cream is a guilt-free dessert for your sweet tooth!

This creamy pumpkin ice cream has so much pumpkin flavor and takes just a few minutes to come together! It’s got an amazing creamy texture for a no churn ice cream made in a Ninja Creami ice cream maker.

If you don’t have a Ninja Creami machine, no worries!  Just blend up the ice cream mixture and pour into an airtight container and freeze about 6-8 hours for a soft serve consistency.

Even though this homemade pumpkin ice cream doesn’t have eggs like traditional ice cream does, it still has the consistency of the ice cream texture we know and love!

The best part, since it doesn’t contain eggs, you can easily taste and adjust your choice of sweetener to meet your needs. It’s a perfect treat if you’re following a keto diet, low-carb diet, or sugar free diet or low sugar diet.

Ninja Creami Machine versus Traditional Ice Cream Machine

There are pros and cons to using a Ninja Creami versus a traditional ice cream machine.

You can achieve a creamy consistency with either but depending on your time, one will work better for you than the other.

Ninja Creami Pros

No eggs needed for creamy ice cream

You can make lite ice cream and high protein ice cream with very little fat.

You don’t need to have a frozen bowl to make ice cream.

You can make a single serve recipe.

It’s a small appliance.

The Ninja Creami community online has incredible ice cream recipes!

Ninja Creami Cons

You can’t eat the ice cream right away.

You will need to buy specific pint containers.

Re-freezing leftover ice cream doesn’t work well.

You can’t make more than four servings that doesn’t go past the max fill line.

Traditional Ice Cream Machine Pros

You can enjoy ice cream right away.

You get a perfectly creamy consistency every time.

You can make a large batch of ice cream with multiple servings.

You can purchase an attachment bowl and paddle for a Kitchenaid mixer.

Traditional Ice Cream Machine Cons

It’s a large kitchen appliance.

The bowl of the machine needs to be frozen before churning ice cream which takes at least 24 hours.

You can’t make a single serving ice cream recipe.

Can I swap the heavy cream?

Yes, you can make a simple swap of the heavy cream with coconut milk  or whole milk or cashew milk, if you prefer. This will change the nutritional information you see in the recipe card at the bottom of this page.

Can I swap the cottage cheese?

You can swap the cottage cheese with ricotta cheese for about the same amount of protein but it will add more carbs and fat.

While this isn’t a dairy free recipe for dairy-free options I would recommend vegan cream cheese or vegan yogurt and using coconut milk or coconut cream to replace heavy cream.

What can I make with Leftover Pumpkin Puree?

I’ve got a bunch of pumpkin recipes you can use the leftover canned pumpkin puree for.

Sugar Free Pumpkin Spice Latte

Keto Pumpkin Ice Cream with egg yolks. This keto ice cream recipe is a churn recipe.

Low Carb Pumpkin Pancakes

Keto Pumpkin Cloud Bread

Keto Chocolate Pumpkin Bread

90 second Keto Pumpkin English Muffin

Can I use a different sweetener?

If you don’t want to purchase the pumpkin spice flavor liquid stevia as I used for this recipe, this Monk Fruit sweetener would also work well.

I would avoid using any granulated sweetener that contains erythritol which will make the ice cream form ice crystals when frozen.

It had a yummy taste but wasn’t as creamy as the vanilla protein recipe. To make a little sweeter, I will probably try some allulose and maybe that will help with the texture.
