Orange Protein Smoothie: No Sugar Added
Feeling under the weather lately or just needing a boost of vitamin C perhaps? This smoothie will do the trick! Full of vitamins, protein, and simply delicious!
Smoothies are a perfect way to get in some veggies in the morning even if you wouldn’t really want one. You never notice them in smoothies, especially this one full of orange flavor. I added the carrot because it’s full of health benefits and you really won’t notice it there.
You can certainly make this without any egg whites but it really provides a nice creamy texture and of course good for you natural protein! If you are worried about drinking raw egg whites, read this post. They are perfectly fine when you purchase 100% pasteurized.
Feel free to replace the Greek yogurt with coconut milk to make this dairy free!

You can use powdered egg whites, these are readily available in any grocery.
When I calculated the nurtrition into my WW calculator, it said this smoothie was 7 pts in the points plus program. Did you have it calculated as 2 pts +?
This did not disapoint. I don’t have Stevia on hand, honey tasted awesome. thanks for the recipe, it’s going to be a keeper!
YAH! SO glad you liked it Susanna!!!
I’ll try this tomorrow morning! I just have some doubts about the egg whites. What are they for?
Is it ok to not use eggs? I can’t stomach that! Ha
You could replace it with a scoop of protein powder instead. The egg whites are not noticeable in the smoothie at all and a really good natural protein.

Made with greek yogurt. It was very nice. Can’t wait to try it with coconut milk!!!
Just made this today, using Almond Milk which worked well. Mine did separate a bit since I took awhile to finish it, so ended up tasting carrot at the end. Not offputting. ๐ I wonder if red/yellow bell peppers would work!
yellow peppers sound like a great idea!
Yum!!! This looks wonderful.
I’ve been sick for days so this sounded perfect. Just made it and it might be a regular in this house. Thanks Brenda!
Yeah glad you liked it!
I was also wondering what type of blender you use…ร
We are fighting some serious sickness around here…..so this will be perfect! One question, what kind of blender do you use. My “old school” blender won’t chop raw carrots w/o leaving chunks…..and I don’t like a “chunky” smoothie ๐
Oh I was just blessed with a Blendtec blender but before that I had a Cuisinart blender for 15 years that worked wonderfully.
I just had a thought that perhaps you could use your food processor if you have one to grate the carrots first then place in your blender for the smoothie.
This looks so refreshing. I love that it has so much protein. Great way to start out the day with this smoothie.
