Sugar-Free Monk Fruit Sweetened Chocolate By ChocZero

This Delicious Sugar-Free Monk Fruit Sweetened Chocolate By ChocZero is a fabulous low carb chocolate with many varieties and options!

I am a woman who loves chocolate and I also choose to be sugar-free and low carb. So I guess you could say I’m pretty particular in what I put into my body.

When companies send me products to try I usually don’t recommend many of them unless they are ones I would certainly enjoy myself or let my kids enjoy.

Recently I was sent some samples of this sugar-free chocolate by ChocZero. It’s sweetened with monk fruit and something I’m really not accustomed to having. Usually I stick with stevia and erythritol as my primary low carb, sugar-free sweeteners of choice, but I was intrigued enough to try these samples out of my duty as a sugar free blogger of course. 😉

As you can see from the photos there are quite a few options to choose from. They include, Milk Chocolate, 50% Cocoa, 70% Cocoa, 85% Dark and 92% Dark. In each bag contains a nice little packaged individual serving size. Between all of them 1 piece has between 4- 6 total carbs and dietary fiber is anywhere from 3-5 grams, making each piece approximately 1 Net Carb!

I don’t know about you but that makes me happy, I was sold on them! They taste fantastic, no after taste whatsoever. My kids and hubby tried some as well and felt the same, no funny aftertaste.

If you’ve ever had any store bought sugar-free chocolate containing maliltol or sorbitol, you know all to well the stomachaches that follow from having too much of it. These DO NOT contain any sugar alcohols that would cause stomach upset or gastric pains.

I can think of a ton of my recipes you could use with this yummy chocolate, like these Fudgey Brownies, Cheesecake Brownies or my Low Carb Peanut Butter Blossoms with chocolate center!

I’m excited for you to try this chocolate!

  5. I have used Monk fruit …….but have never tried it in chocolate. Sounds like this chocolate with Monk fruit is delicious !

  6. Haven’t tried this one, but the BEST sugar free chocolate I’ve ever tasted…..candy bar by Lilly’s. Sweetened with Stevia. Omigosh, my kids love these….so do I! tastes like a regular candy bar, but actually better. The chocolate has a creamier texture when you eat it. Kinda pricey…. But perfect for a treat! Too expensive for me to use on a regular basis, but worth it to grab a few bars as treats. Plus, it’s more satisfying. Each of us only eats like half a bar. And, were good.

  7. No, I have never had monk fruit. We are going sugar free

  9. haven’t used monk fruit in a while but love the concept of using it to sweeten chocolate (I miss chocolate!)

  10. I just started playing with how to substitute this for other sweeteners. Excited there’s a chocolate option!

  11. Thanks so much for helping us learn about this new low carb chocolate option! My son is on the modified atkins diet for seizures (which is similar to keto – very low carb/high fat, to keep him in ketosis), and I’m always looking for ways to get him sweet treats. He so misses treats! I believe monk fruit is an ingredient in a sugar alternative that I bought online for him. He doesn’t like stevia, and we can’t subtract sugar alcohols from his carb count, so I’m always looking for healthy sugar alternatives. I’ve seen a concentrated paste as well, but I don’t know how to substitute it into recipes, so we haven’t tried it yet. I’d love ideas, if you have any!!!

We have used the monk fruit sweetener in a baked french toast recipe that he LOVES (using low carb bread that we buy online as well). It’s one of his favorite things to eat! It’s expensive, so we can’t make it all of the time, but I’m thrilled to have something that makes him smile. It’s been a rough year of adjustment for him. Thank you so much for your awesome recipes! I hope to have my son try Choczero soon!!!!!!!

  12. I love monkfruit as a sweetener and use it coffee, desserts and even to sweeten up a salad dressing a bit. It adds just the right amount of sweetness without a bad aftertaste.

  13. I bought a bag of monkfruit sweetener recently but haven’t used it yet. I’d love to try these chocolates. While I won’t go near anything that uses maltitol or sorbitol, having learned my lesson with regard the the gastro-intestinal distress they cause, I’ve not been all that thrilled with the stevia- or erythritol- sweetened brands of chocolate because they don’t taste chocolate enough. Thanks for sharing this with us.
