What I Ate Wednesday #2 & Cape Cod Highlights

Happy Wednesday to you!

Welcome to the second installment of What I Ate Wednesday! This so happens to be the exact day of food I’m showing you only from this past Wednesday when we were vacationing on Cape Cod for a few days!

Isn’t my mug great?!! IT”S HUGE!!! I HAD to get one and of course had to bring my lap top on vacation but only used it for checking in and posting while I was away. Some day I will be able to vacation without technology but not as of yet. 🙂

So we were in a condo which had a small toaster, microwave and fridge. I was able to make a great stop at a close by Trader Joe’s so we could get some food for packed lunches to the beach.

I’m quite the Dunkin Donut lover but didn’t want to run out or make the hubby run out in the early morning of our vacation to get me coffee so we opted to try this brand and the verdict is we really loved it!

Before we left I made a chocolate zucchini bread for the family. I thought it would be easy for them to heat up in the microwave or toaster and add some nice yogurt and fruit for a quick breakfast or snack. I also opted to just bring oatmeal for myself since the family would eat this loaf pretty quickly and then they’d want bagels. Recipe will be coming soon for the zucchini bread!

Here it is! Easy enough in the microwave with a little soy cream on top.

I found this yumminess as well and didn’t have to add any stevia to the mix.

Perfect with a peach for breakfast!

Since we were beaching it, I bought these sandwich thins so no utensils would be needed at the beach.

With some delicious chicken breast and some lite cheddar cheese, lettuce and fruit and I was a happy camper or should I say beach-er LOL!

But only until I spied someone walking on the beach with an iced coffee in their hands……….

So of course I couldn’t resist, it was after all my vacation and part of relaxing for me is a yummy iced coffee!

And when momma is happy, EVERYONE IS HAPPY!

After a great day at the beach we enjoyed some Pirate mini-golf!

In the evening we found a great little place in Hyannis called Spanky’s Clam Shack!

The view was amazing!

THAT beauty was my dinner!

A Gigantic amount of lobster on a salad.

I.ate.it.all. 🙂

I did make it to the gym in the condo the next morning ….here’s my evidence!

Of course relaxing by the pool with the family was the BEST part of my vacation!

Overall I’m happy with how I ate while away, how I played and enjoyed my family. But I’m always happy to be home and get back into my routine.
